An amazing tale of discovery and sadness.

The film takes through the discovery of Maiers work and how this was released to the world. In itself the film is a great social documentary of the 50's and a great example of a woman breaking down boundaries and perusing her passion. You are however left with a sense of waste in that her work was never recognised in her lifetime. She produced a vast volume of work as we all do, and how many of us don't do anything with this body of work out. The majority of her work has an intense human angle to it and her self portraits are amazing.

Well worth watch for photographers and non-photographers.
