Back up and Running I felt a LensClof Site Update was needed
Work on Lensclof site resumes
Back end of 2022 I reduced my work on the site due to a medical condition and then at the end of Feb 23 went into St Thomas's for major heart surgery. I am pleased to say thanks to the amazing skill and care of the staff all went well. This was followed by several months of recuperation, rehab and getting fit again. Now that all is good again and you will see an increase in traffic on the site. Hope you continue to enjoy the site and recommend it to fellow photographers.
Photographic Talks
The new photographic season has started and I delivered my first talk of the season at Rainham in Kent last week. The subject was the ever popular street and architecture photography. The talk must have been well received as they have now booked me for a second talk later in the year on B&W photography. This coming week sees me at Tonbridge in Kent delivering another talk which should be a good evening.
Last year was busy with over 30 talks being delivered. They must have been ok as many of the clubs have invited me back again and again. All fees from talks going to the British Heart Foundation.
Judging at photography clubs and Societies
A new season and already two judging sessions done. The first was at Deal camera club and the second at the Isle of Thanet club. Both of these are great clubs and both evenings were incredibly difficult to judge due to the high standard of work delivered by the members. What amazingly friendly and talented groups. Next judging will be in a couple of weeks at Whitstable.
All fees from judging going to the British Heart Foundation.
Money for a good cause
For the talks for clubs and societies I don't take a fee but have always asked that it goes as a donation to the BHF as a result we were able to raise in the region of £2000 for this good cause last year.
Hope this LensClof Site Update was helpful.
So sorry to hear that you’ve been through the mill, but pleased that you’re in good health now. I did wonder why the site had been so quiet! Very best wishes, Bev
