Philosophy of your Photography (Part 3)

This post covers - Philosophy of your Photography (Part 3) Camera Club Talk Overview which will give those of you looking to book this talk a good insight as to what to expect. This talk is an ideal follow on from the ever popular talks Philosophy of your Photography (Part 1)  and Philosophy of your Photography (Part 2) as it explores new material and builds on these two amazingly popular talks and tries to answer the question that comes up time and time again! How do you manage the viewer?

talk

Building on the popularity of the previous talks we look at how and why we make the decision we make in construction of our photographs and what do they mean to the viewer.

Duration can be from 90min to 2 hours all depending on the group size and the length of your meetings.

So whats the key Aim:This was put together with the aim of getting photographers to think more about the what, the why and the how they go about their photography. Trying to get people to be more considered more mindful in their approach with the underlying principle being:

Develop your style

Take the images you like

Be the photographer you want to be

The evening is broken down into the following sections:

  1. Introduction

  2. Setting the aims

  3. What are the construction elements of a photograph

  4. How do they impact the viewer

  5. What must you get right in camera

Each section is evaluated using my experiences and images as a platform for discussion. The talk will result in a lively and engaging evening and for those clubs that have already had the two talks listed above then this is an ideal follow on.
