Photographing Winchester

Its not the largest of cities but it is a gem with a fantastic mixture of historic, architecture, street and country all in a days shoot. With the river Itchen running through the city this chalk bed river is crystal clear and you can soon be out of the city enjoying a walk along the river.

Rail and road links are good but parking is expensive so use the park and ride which is brilliant and gives you a nice walk along the river into the city.

When in the area the local speciality is the watercress - maybe some soup?
