Well today managed to come first out of 1300 images in a competition run by NPhoto magazine - where the set subject was "Minimalism".
NPhoto magazine is a great publication dedicated to Nikon cameras and photography.
This should be appearing in the next edition of the magazine.

The image was taken from the cliff tops looking down on the bathing platforms. The lone figure and the boardwalk were ideal for a monochrome conversion. It was a case of getting the right person in the right place and then in post processing straightening up the image using (nik efex sliver efex pro) for the monochrome conversion. The image was cropped ensuring the shadows on the right were retained to provide a stop on the right hand side of the image and to provide a second point of attention
Congratulations Ian - Great shot! Well done and looking forward to seeing your latest winning photo published! On the cover? ;-)
